We’re glad to meet you here. We’re a band of people who read bountiful books – and write them, too!
If you’re like us, you’ve been frustrated by how hard it is to find the kind of reading material you like: bigger-than-life books in the grand tradition of the Literary Fiction classics, and ambitious Fusion Fiction that pushes the envelope of modern publishing by crossing several genre lines.
We all love reading language that paints pictures inside our heads, and we’re not bothered if we occasionally have to pick up a thesaurus or dictionary, to learn some new vocabulary we found in a great book.
We want to read stories that make us think and feel: to laugh, cry, get mad, have hope, be happy, surprised, satisfied.
We’ve often been so disappointed by modern fiction, that we’ve thought, “I could write better than that!”
And many of us felt driven to do so – but you don’t often find our novels in bookshops or on best-seller lists. That’s why we’ve come together here.
So whether you’ve arrived eager to explore the broad horizons of challenging tales that will reveal new heights and depths of meaning, or to get help with finding new homes in the hearts of readers for your own imagination’s beloved, beleaguered characters –

Standards:
  1. Whatever else we write, only our Literary Fiction and Fusion Fiction may be directly promoted here.
  2. We are purveyors of Fine Art, and as such, we may occasionally exchange copies with other authors, award free copies as prizes, or make gifts of our work, but we do not offer our Literary and Fusion Fiction perma-free.
  3. To discourage piracy and plagiarism, we price our Literary and Fusion Fiction commensurate with its value, and encourage copyright registration.
  4. If we offer a direct-from-author retail option, we have enabled PayPal (or another secure transaction system), for buyer and seller protection.
  5. We will support fellow authors by re-blogging new listings and spreading the word through other social media in which we participate.

Instructions for Joining:

It’s easy!
  1. Send a message to the Administrator via the Feedback page (see menu, above), with your request to join. List your title(s). Include a link to a retail site for paper copies of your book(s). Identify your work as Literary Fiction orFusion Fiction.
  2. If necessary, you may be contacted for additional information to verify which category your book(s) occupy; otherwise, you’ll receive an invitation to become a participating author at Masterpiece Marketplace.
  3. Upload the promotional materials for one of your works to a blog page, following the example for Irish Firebrands. (Not all items are required: if you don’t have a sample, trailer or a direct-from-author retail option, that’s okay.) Upload your other Literary or Fusion Fiction works to separate blog pages.
  4. Your promos will be checked for quality of images, loading speed, and to ensure that all links work. If there are problems, the post will be unpublished and you’ll be contacted about making corrections. (The Administrator will index your promo posts.)
  5. Follow the Masterpiece Marketplace. Re-blog new book listings when they appear. Send notices about new listings via your social media accounts.Display the Masterpiece Marketplace badge (above) on your blog.
